Mother’s Day is celebrated across the world, as a time to love, honor, cherish and show your mother just how much she means to you. We were honored that so many families choose to spend such a joyous day with us!
As guests arrived- they were greeted by the aroma of the buffet which filled the lobby. Tables were dressed with beautiful flower bouquets of Gerber Daisies, Snap Dragons or Daisies. The buffet was in a circular set-up with team members in the middle greeting and serving the guests. The ice carving was a great focal point; however the highlight of the decor was our menu card holders. You might ask what was so spectacular about the menu card holders…well it is the fact that they were hand made by children out of Playdough. They showed the imagination that kids seem to display while creating their mother’s ever so special homemade gifts. These served as the perfect extra touch to an already inviting atmosphere.
The buffet featured both hot, cold and children selections as well as a chef attended omelet station and carving station with prime rib and honey glazed ham. Popular items included the shrimp cocktail, the honey seared mahi mahi and the balsamic glazed halibut. A new item on the Bridgewater Grill breakfast menu made its first appearance on the buffet and received an overwhelming response – it was Chef David’s Chicken and Waffles! The presence of the decadent chocolate fountain alone had most everyone indulging not to mention the rest of the desserts which were equally as tasty. The team really enjoyed chatting with the guests, answering questions and helping them fill their plates. Our Bacon Bloody Mary Bar and our Guava Orange Passion Fruit Mimosas, both house specialties, were also among guest favorites.
Despite a less than perfect weather – it was warm and cozy in the Bridgewater Grill. Seeing so many smiles, laughing children and appreciative mothers made our day. A successful event – we are looking forward to the next one!
