We are proud to announce the promotion of Matthew White, as our new Executive Chef.  Chef White has been with our team for the past three years as Sous Chef under David Davis, who prior to Chef White served as Executive Chef at our property for four years.

Ever since the tender age of 5, Matthew had dreams of becoming a Chef and pursued it with passion and dedication, realizing his dreams with dishes that are both original and innovative.

With over fifteen years of experience in the industry, Chef graduated from the Johnson & Wales culinary program with honors in 2005.  Chef White proudly serves on the American Culinary Federation Colorado Chef’s Association (ACFCCA) through which he will continue the apprenticeship program that our hotel offers, as he is dedicated to developing young chefs.

Being a Colorado native, Chef White proudly focuses on utilizing locally produced foods and products, and is highly committed to our community.  Chef White constantly pursues ways to make foods fresher, healthier and move alive without sacrificing the intensity and excitement that the flavors bring.

This has always been Davis’s succession plan to have White replace him at The Golden Hotel and it is bittersweet for Davis to see his plan come to fruition.  Chef White is looking forward to managing the team, handling the administrative side of the kitchen, continuing to build and develop his team, interacting with our local community, as well as partaking in the philanthropic side of his position.

White has been an amazing team member at our property and will be sure to continue so as Executive Chef.  Stop in and join us in the restaurant, lounge or creekside and let Chef White serve you with his culinary excellence.
